FUGA is a brand of handmade household items made from natural materials and inspired by Russian nature, art and culture.. Wood is their main material. They carefully bring traditional materials to the morden reality. We appeal to the Russian applied culture, know and love craft traditions, working with the traditional Russian material and using mostly traditional technology.

The idea to photograph cutting boards as a real human portraits was an answer to FUGA's request to take standard product shooting to the edge of art. I photographed these boards based on real prototypes tried reflect main aspects of their individuality.
